We’re so grateful you chose us to help feed your family and support local agriculture. We are a growing family farm with big ambitions to provide the best-tasting and healthiest meat, poultry and eggs in the Grand Traverse Region. A sincere welcome to our new members, and big thanks to previous members who renewed. The first pick-up is this Friday, May 5.
When and where can I pick up my meat?
Your pickup location on Google Maps
When you come down Secor Road you’ll see our red Anavery Fine Foods sign. Head down the gravel driveway and go left to the grey and white pole barn. The entrance for your pickup is through the white door under the awning. If you see any of us around the farm please say hello!
Pickups occur on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month. For this subscription period the dates are:
May | 5 & 19
June | 2 & 16
July | 7 & 21
August | 4 & 18
We prepare your boxes Thursday night or Friday morning and they are ready for pickup by noon Friday. There is no rush to pick up your box: feel free to come any day after they are prepared. If you miss a week, we will double up your next box (but you may forfeit milk items as they have a 2-3 week shelf life).
Where can I find my food once I found the farm?
Every member has a number – find your number on the posted sheet. Your meat will be in a red insulated bag in our glass door freezers. Look for the one with your number on it. Dairy is in the white refrigerator. Eggs are in the fridge or on a table (depending on the weather). Dairy and cheese is labeled with members’ numbers…please take only your own!
Please call us or look for someone working at the barn if you can’t find your food.
Payments
When you placed your order you chose to pay in installments or all at once. For our members who chose to pay in installments, your card will be charged a few days before your pickup.
Busy hens: Eggs!
Our laying hens have been very productive this spring! We have a bit of a seasonal surplus in our egg supply right now. Eggs are available above and beyond what you may have already paid for with your subscription. We welcome Meat Club Members and friends or family to purchase as many eggs as you would like for $5 a dozen. Please leave cash/check in the dropbox on the wall next to the freezer or send Venmo @anavery.
Anything else I should know?
There is a $2/deposit for each glass bottle, which was already added to your order. Please return empty bottles and take your deposit out of the envelope in the door of the fridge.
We provide the red insulated bags free of charge as long as members continue to return them. Not too many went missing in 2022, thank you! If you have some at home or in your car, please return them. We also welcome any reusable cardboard egg cartons (from Anavery or elsewhere) – that helps us keep our egg prices down.
