We’re excited to share our plans for the Summer Meat Club and to begin offering you more places to buy Anavery. Please read our important updates below.
Since Autumn 2021, Anavery Fine Foods has relied on the support, community, and friendship of our beloved Meat Club members. But we’ve also been eager to offer you more choices for how and what you buy. After six months of planning and some major infrastructure upgrades, we’re excited to announce our plans for expansion of how we offer our meats, eggs, dairy, and other local foods.
So what’s going to happen when this Meat Club Semester ends after the last pickup on April 19?
- The Anavery Meat Club for May 1- August 31 is open for sign-ups to the Winter 2024 group only (anyone reading this email). Click here to sign up!
- In the next month we’re going move our Meat Club freezer from our current pickup room over to the new Anavery Farm Store.
- Starting in May (new semester) we’ll have our Meat Club Members pick up their red bags during our retail hours, by appointment. or (if necessary) from a small chest freezer in the old pick-up location.
- The new Anavery Farm Store will be open to everyone, no subscription needed. All of our delicious meat, poultry and eggs will be available for purchase as individual items. All of our partners’ dairy products will be available for drop-in purchase. Over time, we will begin stocking other terrific local products like fresh vegetables and fruit, sauerkraut and other fermented products, and packaged seasonings and sauces. (Also keep your eyes open for a colorful new addition to the Anavery family of products that will begin blooming on our farm in June.)
Will prices or product availability change for the May-August Meat Club?
- Our goal is to ensure you have access to every product we offer with more flexibility and more variety. Prices are not changing or increasing for our Meat Club Meat Bundles, cheese, eggs or milk.
- Meat Club members will be able to subscribe as always to grass-fed beef, pastured pork, pastured lamb and whole/half chickens. Prices will remain the same and your red bag with your chosen bi-weekly amount will be ready as always on the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month.
- Instead of subscribing to cheese, milk, and eggs, we’ll now have all of these products (and more variety) available to purchase. Our goal is to allow you to tune your bi-weekly needs more regularly and to stop by in between pickups for these items or other meat.
When will the new Anavery Farm Store be open?
- You will see the new structure next to the current pick-up area. We are working on the interior to make it a comfortable and pleasant shopping experience for you. Adam is proud to include a number of antiques from his great grandparents’ farm in the store!
- Our store hours haven’t been finalized, but we’re tentatively planning for Monday-Saturday from 1 PM to 6 PM.
- We’re hoping to have the Anavery Farm Store soft open for the first Meat Club pickup on Friday, May 3.
What’s this I hear about you having a booth at the Sarah Hardy Farmers’ Market this year?
- We have the inventory and demand to reach more customers in different ways this year.
- We’re proud to announce you’ll see our farmers every Saturday at the market downtown! We’ll have a booth and a wide variety of the products we offer from May to October.
