Winter Weather Blues
Sometimes you can’t avoid the winter weather blues, especially when winter can’t decide what to do. But at least we can all eat well! Your meat, eggs and dairy are ready. If you ordered cheese, please let us know how the subscription is going. This is the first time we have offered Boss Mouse cheese. Our family is loving it, especially the aged cheddar (cheeseburgers anyone?).
The volatile weather this autumn and winter has been challenging, but the animals and farmers are weathering it well. Frozen icy ground is actually preferable to mud, so the repeated thaws keep us busy. But all the animals have warm places to hide from wind and freezing rain and we are well stocked with hay and feed. Breeding occurs year-round, with the most recent additions being piglets and lambs.
